Representative John Linder Hosts June Town Hall Meeting
Lawrenceville, GA - Representative John Linder (R-GA) will be hosting another telephone Town Hall meeting for the Seventh Congressional District, which encompasses Gwinnett, Walton, and Barrow Counties as well as the eastern portion of Forsyth County and the northern portion of Newton County. The Town Hall call-in is scheduled for June 26, 2008, from 7:30pm to 8:00pm.

“Communicating with my constituents is a priority for me, and the most efficient means of doing that during the work week is through Telephone Town Hall meetings. In years past, the opportunities to meet with constituents were restricted by the voting schedule in Washington. Now, with advances in technology, I can converse with my constituents on a much more frequent basis irrespective of where my responsibilities require me to be. That is what truly excites me about our telephone Town Hall opportunities.”
The format will consist of a brief introduction from Representative Linder and will transition into an open question and answer format.
“It is important that constituents have an opportunity to tell me where they stand. The Seventh Congressional District stretches across five counties and has hundreds of thousands of families in it. But even as large as the District is, these telephone calls give us all a chance to speak virtually one-on-one. I hope that many will participate so we can share ideas about solutions to the challenges facing this great country.”
This is another in a series of Town Hall Meetings in which Congressman Linder has met with his constituents throughout 2008. To join him on Thursday, June 26th, simply call toll free, 1-888-989-6513, at 7:30pm, and state the pass-code, “Linder Town Hall.” You will be placed immediately into the call. |
